update on sleeping beauty...

ok, so we are on week three of our big girl bed. we're doing well! she successfully goes to bed in her big bed and has stayed in bed until past 7 am for 4 out of 7 mornings. the other mornings are interesting... sometimes she says she has lost her paci, other mornings her silky, then there was last night. i woke up at 1:38 am to go to the restroom (31 + weeks pregnant), after hoisting myself up i put my foot down on the floor only to feel a diaper!!! yep, my punkin' bug was sound asleep in a ball on the floor beside my bed! had i not heard her come in? did she call me and i didn't hear her? i felt horrible! bad mommy!!! i woke bryan up and we turned on his lamp. she looked up, grinned, and told us her teddy was sleeping. i lifted her up and we carried back to her big girl bed. what an adventure. bryan said it perfectly... we spend all this time going in to get her out of bed (when she was in the crib), now she comes to get us. what a change! our sweet baby is growing up! now, potty training! yikes!!! m

Oh, the sweet days of little ones. Matthew is 12 and Lauren is 9. My sweet little bugs are growing up before my eyes. As funny as it is, they both still come to our bed at night. But, now we are just a bit cramped. It's not an everynight event but it is here and there. Your little family is precious! Hold them, love them, kiss them, PLAY with them. Before you know it they will be talking about their first car and getting ready for JR HIGH! AHHHH I want to cry just thinking about it. Lawrence is excited, he is ready for it to be the two of us. I would have another but I can't, maybe we could adopt someday... what ever God has in store for us is GREAT! Hugs! Melissa Root Thompson

That is so precious! How cute is she, and so good to just quietly come in and sleep. I love it!
