the sneakers...

tonight we headed to the mall for some big girl panties and sneakers. big girl panties because we are finally really serious about potty training! we have successfully been a "big girl" four times today complete with a sticker potty chart and reward m & m's. (or as bug calls them "m-e-m's") we headed to champs, because i had my eye on some gray new balance's. we walked in heading toward the back of the store where the toddler kicks are and let betsy bug pick out her new sneaks. which one's did she pick??? yep, you guessed it, GREEN AND GOLD! she didn't even notice that they are sesame street oscar the grouch new balance sneakers. we put them on her and she refused to take them off! then... in walks Robert Griffin (star quarterback for the up and coming Baylor BEARS)!!! i asked bryan if he wanted me to get his autograph, since bryan bleeds green and gold!?! he calmly said he didn't care. so, i boldly walked my tiny tot up to robert, introduced myself and betsy grace, and asked him to sign betsy grace's shoe. he graciously did! later, i asked bryan again and again if he was mad that i had him sign her brand new shoe. he said are you kidding?!? this is AWESOME!!! he then said she can never wear them again. we have to save them since THE ROBERT GRIFFIN signed them! too funny! oh, and the best part... betsy bug thought he wrote HER name on the shoe! too cute! m
